News: new music

Fear not people of Earth, our rap saviours are here to drag us back from the precipice and provide the soundtrack to a new utopian dawn. The SUPERGANG project dropped in all its glory last week, with Lee Scott, Milkavelli and Sniff trading their usual high class brand of bars over some suitably formidable production from Sumgii, who at times sounds like he's channelling the spirits of George Clinton and Zapp. You can stream the EP in full below and we've got a limited edition vinyl release available over on the Blah store.

Memories of their 2014 Uvavu project thanks to this new loosie from Bill Shakes, King Grubb and Lee Scott, as they reunite for theysay. But instead of Reklews on production, this time round the beat is provided by Kiyani.

Jack Danz makes a welcome return to Blah Records with his latest album, T.M.I.B.

Danz'slast appearance on the label was when he handled full production duties on The Northaze's acclaimed Pulp Diction 3 album last year. Fans will be pleased to hear that T.M.I.B is quintessential Danz, with the monotone magician bringing his usual brand of dry wit lyricism and rare vintage vocal samples to the mix.

Thereare no features and only one other production credit from ILE Flottante, leaving the main bulk of the project for Danz to flex his production prowess to great effect. T.M.I.B is out now, with streaming available on Spotify.

Brand new project from Lee Scott, Milkavelli, Sniff and Sumgii, as they form like Voltron to become the unstoppable rap force of SUPERGANG. The EP weighs in at six tracks absolutely dripping in SWEG, fully produced by Sumgii who brings some of his funkiest rhythms ever to the mix.

Today sees the release of a new collaboration from Lee Scott, Stinkin Slumrok and Milkavelli, suitably titled - 0800 GREY SKIES. Featuring some nicely stripped back production from Lee and Hutch, the track serves as a little amuse bouche for the Mcabre Brothers tour on which Slummy plays a big part. The tour is passing through Brighton tonight, along with Jam Baxter, tickets for which are available here. The video for the track was made by DEW8.

Fresh off the reels comes the new video from friend of the Cult and all round rap renegade, Jack Danz. Washpoppin is self-produced and is the first track to be taken from Danz's forthcoming TMIB album, which is due for release on Blah on 10 May. You can also catch him live with the Mcabre Brothers on their Manchester and Leeds dates. More new on TMIB coming soon.

Milkavelli leads us into the weekend with his latest little project, as he takes us on his Channel Surfing odyssey. Never one to follow trends or traditions, this new release is a 10 minute ride through a tight selection of suitably wavy beats from Nobodies Home, with Milk's flow as effortless & on point as it ever was. The artwork was done by J. Neilson. We've also released an accompanying long sleeve t-shirt, which you can cop in a range of designs, each featuring one of the TV screens you can see in the video.
