It's that time again where we bless you with another visual gem, this time courtesy of Nah Eeto and her stunning 53 project. Bila You sees the sublime vocalist linking up with 616 production juggernaut, Sumgii, who concocted a dirty, looming beat, which sets the vibe perfectly for Eeto to do her thing. 53 is out now on the usual platforms.
The day has finally arrived where you can experience and savour all the weird and wonderful eccentricities of the new album from Jam Baxter and Lee Scott. Rumours of the collaboration had been banded about long before any official announcement was made and then when the title was revealed, cult members across the globe let their imaginations run wild with what the album might actually hold in store. Now all their questions have been answered and their dreams have come true, as the full majesty of this left field booze fuelled project is unveiled. The album features a wild mix of beats from a cavalcade of production luminaries, including Drae Da Skimask, GhostTown, Dirty Dike, Sumgii, Jack Jetson and of course, Baxter and Lee themselves. There are also a number of vocal contributions too from Jetson, Lyza Jane, Stinkin Slumrok, Milkavelli, Trellion and Lizzie Venezia, as well as a number of crooning appearances from Lee. Plus, Blah's in-house music wizard, Jack Chard, provides a lot of the instrumentation. The album is out now on digital, which you can stream in full below and there is also a limited edition vinyl run, which is available over on the Blah store.
Unless you've been sleeping for the past month, you will know that last week saw the 616 contingent roll into London's iconic Jazz Café for another teardown, as Cult Mountain reunited for their first gig in quite a while. Having split up weeks before purely so they could pull off a legitimate reunion show, Lee Scott, Milkavelli, Trellion and Sumgii hit the stage with all the debauchery, energy and sweg of Mötley Crüe c. 1985. They brought with them some of 616's finest friends and affiliates, including Nah Eeto, Stinkin Slumrok and Morriarchi. If you weren't able to catch the action in person then luckily for you we captured some of the historic takeover on camera, which you can see below. You have probably heard the rumours by now. The pioneering swegged out band of brothers known as Cult Mountain have split up. But before you shed a thug tear, news is surfacing of a reunion show next month. The show promises to deliver not only the CM boys themselves - Lee Scott, Milkavelli, Trellion & Sumgii - but also a stack of new music, merch and mayhem (as is the MO for any Blah related event). Tickets are available right now, but be quick cos these things have a habit of selling out pretty sharpish. The gig takes place on 5 September and you can find more details here.
Fear not people of Earth, our rap saviours are here to drag us back from the precipice and provide the soundtrack to a new utopian dawn. The SUPERGANG project dropped in all its glory last week, with Lee Scott, Milkavelli and Sniff trading their usual high class brand of bars over some suitably formidable production from Sumgii, who at times sounds like he's channelling the spirits of George Clinton and Zapp. You can stream the EP in full below and we've got a limited edition vinyl release available over on the Blah store.
Brand new project from Lee Scott, Milkavelli, Sniff and Sumgii, as they form like Voltron to become the unstoppable rap force of SUPERGANG. The EP weighs in at six tracks absolutely dripping in SWEG, fully produced by Sumgii who brings some of his funkiest rhythms ever to the mix.
It's going to be released on limited edition 12" picture disc vinyl, plus there is a SUPERGANG t-shirt available. Pre-orders are up on the Blah store now and if you order the vinyl and t-shirt bundle you save yourself a fiver. Pre-orders can be found here.
