Fresh antics from CLBRKS and Morriarchi, as they bless us with another video from their recent sophomore collaboration, PERFORMANCE ENHANCING DIET. This time round they have brought in Bisk and Conrad Mundy to assist on Membership Fee, which also features more visual excellence from Honey JD and LOUDHOUSE. PERFORMANCE ENHANCING DIET is available now on all the usual formats.
To coincide with the merch drop, we thought we would stage a little 5-a-side footy match for the Cult. As you can see from the photos below, it was a huge success and I doubt it will be long before you see some more familiar faces in the Premiership. All credit to Harvey for the photos (IG: @hwfpht).
As we mentioned last week, yesterday saw the official beats1 premiere of the latest single from CHLOBOCOP and Lee, thanks to a cheeky spin from Zane Lowe on his regular show. Now the track has been released, we have also put out a little lyric video to help you with those quarantine karaoke sessions we will all undoubtedly resort to at some point. Bell Me Back is produced by Bisk and you can find streams available from the usual spots.
Big things on the horizon this Bank Holiday (remember them?), as the brand new single from CHLOBOCOP and Lee Scott gets a worldwide premiere over on the esteemed beats1. Get yourselves locked in to Zane Lowe's show on Monday from 5pm to hear the first spin. The track will be available to stream/download after the show. Bell Me Back is produced by Bisk.
Another Friday, another new release, as we unveil the new full-length collaboration between CLBRKS and Morriarchi. Having already blessed us with a couple of tasty singles along the way, we can now indulge ourselves with a full serving of Microwave Cooking 2000. As you would expect, the album comes with a strong Blah contingent in tow, with CL and Morri bringing in Bisk, Capriisun, Lee, Conrad Mundy and Obijuan to assist, resulting in a heady blend of styles but each complemented perfectly thanks to Morriarchi's as ever on point production. You can hear the album in full below, with downloads and physicals available from the usual spots.
We all know by now that Lee loves a surprise drop and last night we discovered that even in the midst of a global pandemic that attitude hasn't changed, thanks to the arrival of a brand new EP. Gold Dust sees the beloved cult leader joining forces with fellow COTD affiliate, Bisk, as well as previous collaborator and all-round production juggernaut, Sadhu Gold. The result is this six track EP, featuring a lot of the gritty, lo-fi down tempo sounds that Bisk and Lee always sound at home on, along with some choice guest spots from Koncept Jack$on, Swiv and Jack Danz. You can stream the EP in full below and downloads are available from Bandcamp, where for today only they are waiving their processing fees, which means 100% of the sales will go directly to the artists. Invest if you can.
Following on from the arrival of the new video from CLBRKS and Morriarchi last week, today we are pleased to reveal more info about their forthcoming album. Microwave Cooking 2000 is set for release on 27 March, accompanied by some particularly sweg and timely artwork, courtesy of Blah photography favourite, Harvey W-F (@hwfpht). As well as the two main stars of the attraction, there will also be some finely selected contributions from Lee Scott, Obijuan, Conrad Mundy, Capriisun and Bisk. Plus the album will be available in a stunning limited edition vinyl version, which is available to order now over at the shop. Stay tuned for more album news coming soon.
We are nothing if not generous here at Blah and so following on from our early Bandcamp release of the latest Lee Scott album, today we thought we would you give you a new video from the project as well. Table is one of the last tracks on Somewhere Between Here and There, and features production from Bisk, with Jazz T on the cuts. The video was made by Vikki Digby-Johns. Somewhere Between Here and There is available now on Bandcamp and on limited edition vinyl, via the Blah shop. Full digital release is 6 December.
