News: new music

The latest project from producer and all round beat wizard, dylantheinfamous, was officially released yesterday. Carrying on the work of its predecessor, MOONLOOPS [VOL. 2] weighs in at 21 tracks and is available for your listening pleasure in both digital and cassette formats. We've included a preview below to get a taste of what's on offer, then head over to the shop to get your hands on the limited edition beat tape. All relevant links are available here.

At the start of last year - AKA the good old days - we introduced dylantheinfamous to the label, with the official release of his beat tape, moonloops [vol. 1]. Now the Birmingham producer is back with a follow up, aptly entitled moonloops [vol. 2], which promises more of the same sounds that have earned him praise from prominent Cult members like Black Josh and Lee Scott. The project is due for release on 10 March and will be available on both digital and cassette. No pre-orders, but check back nearer the time for more info and the necessary links.

Following on from the triumphant release of the new Danny Lover EP, I Found Out Where You Live, we are now pleased to be able to unveil the vinyl edition in all its glory. Available on pre-order from today, this version comes in heavyweight black vinyl and is limited to 150 hand-numbered units. It will also include full instrumental versions of the all the tracks. The EP is produced by Jack Chard and the artwork was created by James Neilson. Pre-orders are available here, with shipping due to begin in 7-9 weeks, providing there are no production issues. Updates will be made accordingly. In the meantime, you can stream and download the EP from all the usual spots.

What better way to celebrate a passion fuelled weekend, than with a surprise drop from Danny Lover. Featuring four brand new tracks from the Ontario MC, I Found Out Where You Live is produced in its entirety by Jack Chard. You can hear the full EP below, with downloads and streams also available from all the usual platforms. There is also a video for the track Me, which you can watch below. The video was made by Bob Sacamano and the artwork for the EP was done by James Neilson.

Today marks the release of the new album from Jam Baxter. Obscure Liqueurs is his first full-length release since 2018's Touching Scenes and features full production from Cult favourite, Sumgii. The album also boasts some nice features, including Lee Scott, Jehst, Milkavelli and Stinkin Slumrok. The artwork was created by Jenna Andreotti. You can stream the full album below, with physicals and downloads available from the usual spots. Vinyl pre-orders will be shipped from today.

As we announced last week, Jam Baxter has a new album on the horizon, produced entirely by Sumgii. As well as the digital version, Obscure Liqueurs is also going to be available on this delectable limited edition vinyl. As you can see it comes in this slick patterned version and is limited to a run of 300, so be quick if you want in. Pre-orders are available now, with shipping from 1 February - the album's release date. If you missed it, Baxter's new video, Salsa Valentina, is out now.

We are very pleased to announce that the next album being released on Blah Records, is the latest opus from twisted lyricist extraordinaire, Jam Baxter. Having already teased you with Knee In Face back in September, Baxter now returns with the next instalment, in the form of Salsa Valentina. Once again it features production from Sumgii, who is at the helm for the whole project. The album, Obscure Liqueurs, is due for release on 1 February, on both digital and vinyl. After last year's 12 month depression fest, we thought we'd start this year on the right foot by dropping some brand new visuals from Sniff. The suitably titled Song of The Year also features additional raps from Danny Lover and Lee Scott; like the family reunion we all missed out on at Christmas. Later Than Never is out now.
